New Year - New Meaningful Goals

New Year - New Meaningful Goals
Last year was an emotional and physical rollercoaster for everyone. This year, we are looking at the positives! We will revisit our goals, re-evaluate if necessary, and put into place a way we can achieve them, one step at a time.

Renewed Focus
One of the benefits of last year is that it gave us a forced time out. Did you take this as an opportunity to re-valuate what is most important to you? Maybe you set some new goals for yourself like;

Create a Fitness Routine
Travel to a New Place (locally of course!)
Drink More Water
Revisit Your Career Goals
Make Time for Self-Care

Goal-setting can be overwhelming; setting the right goals is half the battle. There’s still plenty of time to plan your goals to continue 2021 with renewed focus and determination.

Healthier living
In 2021 – we are continuing to look at natural ways to help our health journey, so we can reach the achievable health goals that we’ve set. This year we are making an effort to;

  • Eat whole, single-ingredient foods
One of the best things you can do to become healthier is to base your diet on whole, single-ingredient foods. By doing this, you eliminate the vast majority of added sugar, added fat and processed food. Also eating whole foods provides your body with the many essential nutrients that it needs to function correctly.

  • Use smaller plates
Some studies have shown that using smaller plates helps you eat less because it changes how you see portion sizes. People seem to fill their plates the same, regardless of size, so they end up putting more food on larger plates than smaller ones. Using smaller plates reduces how much food you eat while giving you the perception of having eaten more.

Calocurb can also help support a healthy appetite and portion size management https://www.calocurb.co.nz/collections/all/products/single-calocurb-complete-kit

  • Replace some fat with coconut oil
Coconut oil is high in fats called medium-chain triglycerides, which are metabolized differently than other fats. Studies show that they can boost your metabolism slightly while helping you eat fewer calories. Coconut oil may also be beneficial in reducing harmful belly fat.

  • Take Probiotics
Probiotics are live bacteria that have health benefits when eaten. They can improve digestive health and heart health, and may even help with weight loss. Probiotics may help regulate healthy gut bacteria. They may also block the absorption of dietary fat while reducing appetite and inflammation.
Calocurb Probiotic Metabolise has a combination of 7 powerful beneficial bacteria strains, plus FOS (Fructooligosaccharides) prebiotic, to support a healthy metabolism for healthy weight management https://www.calocurb.co.nz/collections/all/products/probiotic-metabolise

  • Get enough sleep
Getting enough sleep is incredibly important for weight loss, as well as to prevent future weight gain. Studies have shown that sleep-deprived people are up to 55% more likely to become obese than those who get enough sleep. This is partly because sleep deprivation disrupts the daily fluctuations in appetite hormones, leading to poor appetite regulation.

Natural and Achievable Results

We are all about implementing natural ways that we can manage and support our health goals. You won’t see any sudden, drastic diets around here, long term and sustainable weight loss comes from adapting what works for you into your lifestyle, to become an integrated part of your routine.

If you find yourself overeating throughout the day, fasting can be a great tool to help you get healthier. Not only does it teach you discipline, but it also provides many health benefits.

Fasting is excellent because you can combine it easily with any eating programme that works for you, including Keto, Low- FODMAP, Vegan or Paleo. It is a useful tool to consider implementing over the long term to support healthy cells and improve your cardiovascular system and brain function.

If you’ve never tried the intermittent fasting technique before, here are a few ways you can implement it into 2021 and beyond.

  • 5:2: Two days a week, you will eat between 500 and 600 calories. Eat a regular diet on the other five.
  • 16:8: This fasting approach involves shortening your eating window to just eight hours per day.
  • Alternate day fasting: It’s as easy as it sounds. You fast all day, every other day, and stick to a normal eating approach on non-fasting days.
  • One meal a day (OMAD): Also referred to as the Snake Diet, you consume all your daily calories in a single meal and fast the rest of the day.

No matter which eating approach you choose, you can still benefit from using supplements for added support. Calocurb can help get you started with fasting, or increase your fasting window if you are a seasoned faster. With only three natural plants based ingredients, Calocurb can be a reliable and useful tool to support your weight management and fasting goals.

We’ve got your back this year – so if you need any advice or support around Calocurb or fasting, just let our team know and we will be happy to help.
